6. Belfast Botanic Gardens, Belfast, Ireland, UK
The gardens’ most notable feature is the Palm House conservatory, which was completed in 1840. It consists of the cool wing and the tropical wing. Famous floral ‘inhabitants’ include an 11m-tall Globe Spear Lily and a 400-year-old Xanthorrhoea.
