This time, the collection features the renowned artist’s iconic characters, Companion and BFF

When Uniqlo collaborated with KAWS for collections featuring Sesame Street and Peanuts, we fell head over heels in love with the adorable shirts and stuffed toys. Uniqlo teams up once again with the famous American pop artist, but this time, you won’t be seeing cartoon characters from your childhood getting his trademark X marks for eyes. Big fans of KAWS will be happy to know that the new Uniqlo x KAWS: Summer collection stars two of the artist’s most beloved characters, Companion and BFF.
The collection will hit all Uniqlo Singapore stores on 3 June, and online at uniqlo.com on midnight that day. Primarily a UT (Uniqlo T-shirt) collection, it includes 12 different tee designs for adults, and six for kids. For those who wish the previous KAWS collaborations also had bags, you have your wish this time round, as there are four different charming tote bag designs too! All the adults’ tees are priced at $19.90 each, while the kids’ tees are $14.90 each, and the tote bags are $19.90 each.

Companion and BFF are probably the most recognised characters in KAWS’s artworks. The designs reinterpret his signature works and some new ones too.
Commenting on this latest collaboration with Uniqlo, the artist says, “I am happy to have this opportunity with UNIQLO to design a collection of t-shirts and tote bags inspired by some of my favourite sculptures that will be made accessible to a global audience.”

This slightly creepy design is based on one of KAWS’s signature works, a dissected and Flayed Open edition of Companion.
This one may just be our personal favourite of them all! A fuzzy pale pink BFF carries a little Companion in a sweet way.
The script is flipped! Companion holds onto a little pink BFF. This same design also comes in kids’ sizes with a light blue tee background.
BFF, in its original electric blue, is being carried by Companion. This one’s a bit startling too, but it’s definitely eye-catching.
For those who like things minimalist, go for this grey-scale design in which Companion is carrying other little Companions…? It’s based on ‘Clean Slate,’ a popular design for KAWS collectible toys.
This simple design on BFF sitting also comes in kids’ sizes with a white background.
If you don’t want to shout your love for KAWS so loud, this pocket tee with multiple prints of pink BFF is just for you. A white version is also available, which comes in kids’ sizes too.
Want an even more subtle print? Look for this striped tee with a cute little BFF in just its eyes and nose. This same design and colour also comes in kids’ sizes.
And lastly, our favourite tote bag, featuring the Companion ‘Resting Place’ (non-flayed open version) artwork in grey-scale.
