The lot of us haven't so much as laid eyes on the Pokemon Go app icon yet, and already we're inundated with news and weird happenings that occurred thanks to the viral mobile game.

If you don't want to read through all the articles about Pokemon Go but are still somehow curious about what strange things could happen, here are 10 that already have.

10. When someone (kind of) tried to catch George W Bush

Following closely on the trail of funny Pokemon Go encounters are the memes and gifs that have spawned because of this insane trend.

Take, for example, this gif of a conference with former US President George W Bush. Let’s be real – if you saw a rare Pokemon appear beside a speaker at an event, you’d be tossing your Pokeballs at it too.

Update: A representative of Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, has announced that there are currently no plans for release of the app outside of New Zealand, Australia, the US and Germany, as reported by IGN.
