5 Highlights of Singapore Fashion Week Day 1

The week-long soiree opens with a dazzling show by haute couturier Guo Pei

Singapore Fashion Week 2016 kicked off with Chinese haute couturier Guo Pei, a dazzling start to a week's worth of fashion merry making.

We also found ourselves marveling at an interactive fashion-meets-technology fashion show presented by Microsoft Surface, in collaboration with home grown designer Max Tan.

When the runway music is not your usual upbeat tune, but a mash-up of familiar window pings and chimes, you know this is the future of fashion.

The interplay of form and function played a huge role in the show, with models strutting down in androgynous, monochrome outfits. We foresee these clean and sleek silhouettes to be a huge hit among women of all body shapes and sizes.
