Parts of what repeatedly draw audiences to “Wicked” are its impressive staging and costumes. Glinda’s famous ‘bubble’ dress, for example, weighs a mighty 10kg and features almost 100,000 sequins in total – and it takes Anderson only 20 seconds to get in and out of it.

But there’s an even quicker change, Hughes reveals. “When we go into Emerald City, we both have about 15 seconds to do a complete costume change – dresses, hats, bags,” she says.

Their secret? “Practice, practice, practice,” shares Anderson. “You get quicker over time and by the end of the [season], you can even have a cup of tea in between your quick changes!”
