Let these life-sized watermelon, strawberry, orange, musk melon and tomato shield you from the sun
When you’re in Japan, no whimsical idea seems too far-fetched.
After all, it’s the land where giant Cat Buses were invented — think: Studio Ghibli’s film My Neighbor Totoro, and where Pokémon first originated — before it took the rest of the world by storm.
As such, these real life fruit-shaped bus stops in the Japanese town of Konagai are a dream come true.
Originally built for the 1990 Travel Expo to attract visitors, these quirky bus stops continue to be functional till this day.
You’ll find them in the shapes of watermelon, strawberry, orange, musk melon and tomato, each one photo-worthy and utterly adorable.
