Lulu the Movie will explain it all. Opening in theatres on 24 Nov, it reveals why Lulu flew here from her hometown in China. However, when things (hilariously) don’t pan out the way she expected, she decides to ‘save’ her face by staying in Singapore and making a name for herself.
Fans who are familiar with Lulu will recall her unabashed and unique fashion sense and her even more standout personality. Her unconventional style earns her a top-rated show, and she becomes so renowned that even fashion icon ‘Karl Lagerfeld’ demands to have her on his show. See if you can spot the clever imitation:
However, as Lulu learns, her success doesn’t come without a dose of mockery, discrimination and tough choices. The movie is written and directed by Michelle Chong, the talented actress who brought the much-loved Lulu to life.
