Rising poet Ocean Vuong ventures into prose with his new debut novel, inspired by his own early experiences as a refugee living in the United States. Little Dog, a Vietnamese American, writes a letter to his mother who cannot read, weaving together a violent and dark family history, as well as his personal exploration of his masculinity and sexuality.
