6. Aladdin
We’re in for a whole new world with the live-action adaptation of Disney’s Aladdin! The eagerly anticipated remake follows the classic story of the street rat Aladdin who dreams of becoming a prince, the headstrong princess Jasmine who wants to be in charge of her own future, and the wish-granting Genie. We’re excited to hear the timeless tale and tunes brought to new life by a cast of talented, mostly emerging actors: Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Marwen Kenzari as Jafar, and Will Smith as Genie. And we can also look forward to new songs and even new characters in the remake, while certain aspects of the story (including Jasmine’s character) will be explored more in depth.
