How do you know when a popstar is enjoying her performance? She goes all out to have fun with her songs and the audience - and she means it.
Despite having only an hour and 20 minutes last night, Minogue put on a dazzling display of dramatic costumes and cheeky conversation, topping some of the headliners that previously reigned on the Singapore Grand Prix Padang Stage.
Keeping it real
It’s always refreshing to hear a star reach out to her audience, beyond talking about the weather and the amazing crowd.
Minogue exuded sincerity as she slowed down her performance with a heartfelt rendition of “I Believe in You”, prefaced with a touching monologue.
“Singapore was a destination of my travels very early in my career,” she said. “So to be here again, almost 30 years later, with you tonight, it’s just incredible.”
The night wound down with “All the Lovers” – but not without an encore that kept her fans jigging. What a way to close the first day of the F1 weekend.
