It's still a while to go until April 2019, so let's have some trivia to tide us over until the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones airs on HBO. We don't mean testing your knowledge to name the family crests or Direwolves; we're talking about what happens on set and behind the camera. So many fascinating things have happened behind the scenes over seven seasons of the hit fantasy series. We've picked 10 little nuggets, and some might surprise even the huge Game of Thrones fans!

8. The horse heart Daenerys eats in Season 1 is actually made of solidified jam

But that doesn’t stop it from being totally gross. Emilia Clarke said the gummy bear-like congealed jam tasted like bleach and raw pasta, causing her to vomit quite often as she ate around 28 of the 3-pound “hearts” to film that scene. A challenge for a true Khaleesi indeed.
