It's still a while to go until April 2019, so let's have some trivia to tide us over until the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones airs on HBO. We don't mean testing your knowledge to name the family crests or Direwolves; we're talking about what happens on set and behind the camera. So many fascinating things have happened behind the scenes over seven seasons of the hit fantasy series. We've picked 10 little nuggets, and some might surprise even the huge Game of Thrones fans!

7. Jon Snow’s cape was made from an IKEA rug

In fact, all the big “fur” capes worn by the brothers of the Night’s Watch are reworked IKEA rugs. HBO is famously known to spend an average of $10 million on an episode of Game of Thrones, so imagine our surprise when we learned about this epic IKEA hack! Fans are placing bets that the S$69 SKOLD sheepskin rug is the basis of Jon Snow’s iconic cape, while the GOT team likely used the US$30 RENS for Snow’s white cloak.

As the revelation went viral, the IKEA team themselves responded that they were flattered. Some employees released photos of them dressed up in the rugs. In IKEA’s frozen foods section.
