Crystal Castles is one of the new main acts just announced to be joining the Neon Lights 2016 lineup.
Music festival Neon Lights has revealed 17 more names for its 2016 lineup, which also includes previously announced famous acts Sigur Ros and Foals.
Taking over six stages on 26 and 27 Nov are newly announced acts such as Canadian indie-electro duo Crystal Castles, Swedish alt-folk hero Jose Gonzalez and the Godfather of Funk, Detroit’s George Clinton.
Folk heroes Jose Gonzales (top) and Lucy Rose will also be performing in Singapore.
Other international acts confirmed for the two-day festival include Canadian neo-funk star Neon Indian, English folk-songstress Lucy Rose, electronic producer Gold Panda (UK), jazz and hip hop fusion from Badbadnotgood (California), the wall of sound that is 65daysofstatic (UK) and newbies Pumarosa (UK).
The festival will also host the first-ever performances in Singapore by new stars such as England’s Shura and Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes, who has produced for Florence & the Machine), Swedish songwriter The Tallest Man on Earth and New York hip-hop pioneers The Sugarhill Gang.
Local singer Gentle Bones, aka Joel Tan, will be one of the Singaporean acts at Neon Lights 2016.
Local acoustic crooner Gentle Bones will head up the Singaporean contingent at Neon Lights, followed by the beautiful atmospherics of Linying and the electronic dance rock quartets Cashew Chemists and Disco Hue.
