Nostalgic eye candy for you to fondly fawn over

Remember the yesteryears of rushing home after school to catch your favourite sitcom or game show? While some of our favourite actors are still pretty active today, many of us still miss the "golden" age of the 90s in Singapore television.

3. Li Nanxing

The original bad-boy heartthrob of the heartlands, Li Nanxing is widely regarded as the Big Brother, or da ge, of Singaporean actors. Li began his acting career in the 1980s, shooting to fame in 1993 with his role as gambler king Yan Fei in “The Unbeatables I”. Since then, Li became known for his tough-guy and anti-hero act.

For most of the 1990s, Li, Zoe Tay and Chew reigned as the three most popular actors in Singapore. Li has won several Best Actor awards and was nominated every single year from 1997 to 2004, even winning several Malaysia and Taiwan popularity polls at the Star Awards.

Where he is now

Still acting in popular local drama series, Li has also set up his own talent management agency, LNX Global, under which he has signed fellow artiste Constance Song.

He also appears in upcoming Chinese New Year comedy The Fortune Handbook, marking his first foray into comedy acting. He joins two other big Lees – Mark Lee and Christopher Lee – in this movie.
