3. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
What it’s about: When she was in the eighth grade, Kimmy Schmidt was kidnapped to join an underground doomsday cult. Finally rescued fifteen years later, she moves to New York and is determined to have a normal life as an adult, by finding an apartment with a new roommate, and getting her first job.
Why you should watch: You can’t go wrong with a comedy created by Tina Fey, and starring other comedic talents such as Jane Krakowski and Titus Burgess. Besides totally ridiculous and laugh-out-loud shenanigans from the very first minute, the series captures your heart with plenty of real-life situations. As she continues to pick herself up setback after setback, the charming heroine will inspire you to be unbreakable too.
Seasons One through Four (Part 1) are currently available on Netflix. The series will return for Season Four (Part 2), also the final episodes of the whole series, in January 2019.
