An annual highlight which draws both local and overseas visitors, this year’s Chinatown Street Light-Up is inspired by two main themes. The first theme is one of the most iconic hallmarks of the Mid-Autumn Festival – lanterns. The second theme of family togetherness signifies the festival period as a time of reunion.
Look forward to a spectacular showcase reminiscent of Singapore’s traditional lanterns popular between the 1960s to the 1980s, as well as a towering 12-metre tall lantern centerpiece designed in collaboration with students from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.
