9. Casio to Release Hello Kitty Collaboration BABY–G in Singapore
HELLO KITTY from Sanrio Co., Ltd. This special timepiece commemorates the 50th anniversary of HELLO KITTY and the 30th anniversary of BABY-G.
Built upon the BGD-565, inheriting the design of the initial BABY-G model, this collaboration watch embraces the white, red, and blue color palette inspired by HELLO KITTY’s debut designs from 1974. The white base is adorned with red and blue band rings, and the band itself, crafted with bio-based resin, showcases printed faces of the charming animated character from the 1970s — HELLO KITTY laughing, winking, and expressing surprise. When the backlight is activated, HELLO KITTY’s eyes, nose, and whiskers illuminate on the watch LCD, complemented by the ribbon design on the dial, forming the complete HELLO KITTY face.
In celebration of her 50th anniversary, the watch boasts 50 HELLO KITTY details throughout. The collaboration model comes in special packaging featuring a cloth pouch inspired by the watch design.
