4. Objectifs x SAW 2024

Singapore Art Week is poised for a lively return this year, and Objectifs is thrilled to present three unique exhibitions that will captivate art enthusiasts and novices. This lineup includes an exhibition curated by the recipient of the Objectifs Curator Open Call 2023, a groundbreaking collaboration with VH AWARD, and an outdoor exhibition curated by Wang Ruobing, featuring works by Eko Prawoto and contributions from Post-Museum.

Objectifs Curator Open Call: A Reservoir of Time orchestrates a captivating exhibition titled “A Reservoir of Time.” Delving into the intricacies of time as a conceptual framework that molds our comprehension of the world, artists Lewis Choo, Ge Xiaocong, Hong Shu-ying, Ivan Ong, along with Goh Chun Aik’s own contribution, converge with their unique perspectives on time through their artworks. The collective presentation generates encounters that aim to influence our perception of time. The images and objects on display evoke a compilation of memories, remnants of activities, possibilities spanning across time and space, and even alternative timelines. This overlapping of timelines prompts a reconsideration of our understanding of time.

5th VH AWARD Exhibition marks a significant milestone in the 12th edition of the Singapore Art Week. For the first time, Hyundai Motor Group and the National Arts Council jointly present the 5th VH AWARD Exhibition in Singapore. The Objectifs Lower Gallery will host the unveiling of video works by the five finalists of the 5th VH AWARD. Each finalist has received support for the production of new artworks. From 21 January to 4 February 2024, this inaugural exhibition in Singapore will spotlight the talents of new Asian media artists Subash Thebe Limbu, Zike He, Riar Rizaldi, Su Hui-Yu, and zzyw.

Alternative Ecology: The Community is a captivating art and ecology event showcasing a sculptural social space titled “Fragment of the Unknown Memory.” Crafted from bamboo by the late Indonesian artist and architect Eko Prawoto, this installation is accompanied by the Bamboo Broadcast Studio, a series of public programs organized by Post-Museum.
