6. Wonder and ponder at MeshMinds 2.0: ArtxTechforGood
Art may sometimes seem confusing, or even elitist at times. However, MeshMinds 2.0 ArtxTechforGood is an exhibition that aspires to bring art and technology together – for good!
More than 20 immersive works by local artists that blend the real and virtual worlds will be displayed, with the creative use of technologies such as virtual and augmented reality. Gear up and blast away at microplastics in a human stomach, dive into the ocean floor to understand the plight of plastic pollution on marine life, or stroll along the beautiful beaches of Batu Batu. Each installation also carries an important social message and highlights the various United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, such as responsible consumption and production, life on land, and climate action, to name a few.
From stepping through a virtual portal to help clean a polluted ocean, or imagining the future of our cities through the lens of augmented reality, take part in this ongoing conversation on sustainability through the lens of technology and the arts. Besides that, the exhibition is family-friendly, with free admission, so it would make a great day trip for the whole fam, or an afternoon out with friends!
