5. #BuySingLit and support local literature through GrabRewards & Sing Lit Cloud
For those who are always on the go, yet longing to catch up on your reading, don’t you wish there could be machines that would supply you with just enough reading material to keep you company as you travel here and there?
Well, starting from tomorrow, perhaps that wish would be reality after all! Sing Lit Cloud, a project by Sing Lit Station, will see special self-order machines with printers installed in three different locations around Singapore: Our Tampines Hub, Mapletree Business City and Library@Harbourfront. These printers will dispense bite-sized excerpts of local bestsellers that you can take with you for free! Some of the books excerpts are taken from are: The Teenage Textbook by Adrian Lim, and They Do Return…But Gently Lead Them Back by Catherine Lim.
Another great programme for busy bee bookworms would be Grab SingLit – a joint collaboration between online SingLit retailer Localbooks.sg and Grab Singapore that allows Grab users to redeem a selection of SingLit books with their GrabReward points on the Grab app. From 8-31 March, use your GrabRewards to redeem a mystery SingLit book gift from any of the 14 participating locations around the island. With 8,000 books up for grabs, travelling just got a lot more interesting!
