4. Reimagined Afternoon Tea Experience at The St. Regis Singapore
From now until 16 October 2023, The St. Regis Singapore is honouring the rich tapestry of Singapore’s diversity, celebrating its multiculturalism that embraces various cultures and races.
The delightful Afternoon Tea experience begins with the introduction of an exquisite amuse-bouche. The iconic scone of The St. Regis Singapore is transformed into dainty, savoury salted egg variations, elegantly served with salmon roe and sour cream. This delectable start is followed by a trio of savoury creations, each inspired by a prominent spice from a different local culture. The savoury ensemble includes the Curry Tuna Mayo Sandwich with Crispy Fish Skin & Chicken Floss, reflecting Indian culinary traditions; the Black Pepper Beef Sandwich, featuring the essential spice of Chinese cuisine, black pepper; and the Poached Prawn Tart adorned with Belacan Mayo, a beloved spice among the Malay community.
Guests are presented with a three-tier stand of artisanal desserts, featuring the beloved St. Regis Scone served with a luscious spread of local kaya; the Exotic Fruit and Coconut, showcasing Ducley Sable with Coconut Cremeux, a delightful tropical fruit from Southeast Asia; and the Ondeh Ondeh Opera with Gula Melaka Cream, Coconut Mousse, and Pandan Jelly. The experience concludes with an exclusive gift of pralines to commemorate this special celebration.
