1. Lazarus Island’s Eagle Bay Beach Reopens after Oil Spill Clean-Up
Eagle Bay Beach on Lazarus Island has reopened to the public following a two-month closure due to a major oil spill. The Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) has confirmed that swimming and all water activities are now permitted.
To celebrate the reopening, complimentary boat rides between Sentosa Cove and Lazarus Island will be available on weekends from 17 August to 1 September 2024. Additionally, there is going to be a myriad of fun offerings such as participating in the Bingo Quest, exploring the Southern Islands with guided kayak and bike tours, learning stand-up paddleboarding, or savouring delicious BBQ at Sol by BDC’s pop-up café.
The reopening of Eagle Bay Beach marks a significant milestone in the restoration efforts and a fresh start of the affected area.
