9. Indulge in contemporary art
If you fancy modern art, drop by ION Art Gallery to view two exhibitions showcasing some of the brightest artistic talents from around the world. Art takes an everyday turn at the sixth edition of the Pameran Poskad (which means ‘Postcard Exhibition’), happening from now until 24 June. Hear from the artists how they transform the ordinary into eccentric works in the size of postcards. Then, from 27 June to 4 July, the annual Modern and Beyond exhibition returns to with artworks from the Modern Art Society (Singapore). Over the weekends of both exhibitions, there will also be opportunities to get more personal with art – the gallery will hold a series of blue printmaking workshops during the Pameran Poskad, while Modern and Beyond will feature live art demonstrations.
