21-23 Jun: Celebrate the arrival of The World's 50 Best Restaurants on our shores, indulge in a gastronomic sky-high feast at CÉ LA VI, push your creative boundaries at The Cathay's Ink & Art, sip on tipples at Campari Negroni Week 2019, and more!

5. Dip your flesh into the wild side with The Cathay’s Ink & Art
What’s creativity if it’s not pushing the boundaries; an outlet for self-expression? This year, The Cathay’s INK & ART event is returning for the third year in a row – and is not for the faint-hearted. Take a leap of faith and courage, and put your skin into the talented hands (and needles) of the artists from well-known local tattoo studio, Traditions Tattoo Collective, because this event will feature two ink stations where you can get mystery tattoos!
If you’re inked yourself, you’ve probably seen the gorgeous works of tattoo artists Lionel Ng (@lionelngtattoo) and Lee Wai Leng (@fleecircus) from Traditions, with Lionel known for his clean lines and Oriental-style designs and Lee for her delicate linework, and floral and animal pieces. Yin (@yinktattoos), who hails from Hong Kong, does amazing monochrome pieces. They’ll be offering mystery tattoos to shoppers who spend a minimum of S$80 (maximum of two receipts from 21 to 23 June 2019) at any shop in The Cathay. Just pick from a series of words, which will then be translated into a permanent, 6cm by 6cm tattoo, based on the tattoo artist’s interpretation of the word. There are limited slots per day – highly-coveted, if the artists’ popularity and constantly full bookings are anything to go by – so if you want a creative, go with the flow tatt, don’t hesitate!
If you’re not quite ready to commit to a permanent design on your skin, don’t worry: artists from Out & Ink (@outandink) will be around to ink on temporary but hyper-realistic tattoos! There will also be a live tattoo showcase by the talented artists at Traditions Tattoo Collective that will take place once a day, on Saturday and Sunday. Chill out to performances by The Moon House, Genesis Keefer and YanHui, and watch local urban artist, ARAIKREVA (@araikreva) craft a live mural; or wander over to look at whimsical doodles by Paintinks by Melt (@paintinks_by_melt).
