For the fourth year in a row, Singapore is hosting the iconic Mexican holiday with grand fare. Commonly but mistakenly associated with Halloween, the Day of the Dead (or Dia de los Muertos) is an old Mexican tradition, celebrated to honour the memory of their loved ones. On 3 November, from 12pm to 11pm, join in this rich cultural celebration at the F1 Pit Building and Outdoor Area. The program kicks off on a high note with a free movie screening of Disney/Pixar’s “Coco”! They’re showing it not once, but twice! Seating is first come, first serve, so get your butts there early before it starts at 12:30pm and 3:30pm. Other highlights include traditional Hispanic dance workshops, the Day of the Dead parade, and lots of live music in the evening, including a full, epic Mariachi band. And of course, there’s delicious Mexican food to enjoy throughout.
