7. Open your mind through this interactive art exhibition to improve mental health and wellness

Did you know that the latest nationwide study shows 1 in 7 people in Singapore have experienced a mental disorder in their lifetime? However, on a brighter note, global studies have shown that the arts have a positive impact on mental well-being and act as a platform for mental health persons-in-recovery to articulate their feelings through creative means, and help them learn to cope with the daily stress in their lives.

A joint collaboration by MINDSET Care Limited and the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH), ART THERAPY MEETS is an interactive exhibition that aims to educate, raise awareness of mental health and awareness, and provide a meaningful reflective experience to the community.

Consisting of four parts, with a guided tour if you wish, you’ll be able to learn about art therapy from art therapists from LASALLE College of the Arts based on their interaction with persons impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE); walk through an art exhibition of works by mental health persons-in-recovery undergoing art therapy; reflect on these learnings and share among participants & art facilitators; as well as collectively contribute to Art Therapy Meets’ community art manifesto, to show your support for those struggling with mental health conditions.
