2. Celebrate Kampong Glam’s heritage & history with Aliwal Arts Night Crawl 2019
Aliwal Arts Night Crawl, the annual multi-disciplinary arts festival held in Kampong Glam, is returning for its seventh edition this year! This signature event by Aliwal Arts Centre is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of Kampong Glam and will feature curated programmes that fuse tradition and heritage with a contemporary edge. Immerse yourself in a spiel of artsy fun that range from street art and sensory storytelling tours that seek to uncover the rich cultural and heritage secrets of Kampong Glam; multi-disciplinary performances such as poetry reading with virtual reality as well as dance and music performances by Teatre Ekamatra, NADI Singapura, SGMUSO and more; exhibits that showcase the stories of Kampong Glam; and art and music workshops. There will also be a special edition of the So Gelam Market, a pop-up market selling a mix of traditional and modern food as well as merchandise.
