5. Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2018
End the year with a bang at Marina Bay, where you are closest to the epic fireworks. The countdown festivities bring Marina Bay’s year-end Celebrate in the City program to an exciting conclusion. There are a whole range of activities for you and your loved ones to join in around Marina Bay on New Year’s Eve – before the fireworks start, get a preview by viewing the brilliant light projections on the facade of the Fullerton Hotel between 8pm and 11:30pm. You can also keep your energy going high by savouring yummy local food at the Food Truck Fest (at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza) from 5pm to 1am, or by singing along to live performances by top local artistes at Mediacorp’s Let’s Celebrate countdown show (at The Promontory) from 7pm. fringe activities happening around the civic district, which will go car-free from 4pm on 31 December.
For even more fun ways to usher in the new year, head out to explore the civic district along Connaught Drive and Esplanade Park! It’s all family-friendly at the Families for Life NYE Celebrations with bouncy castles and picnic snacks, and at the Countdown Movie Screenings of Night at the Museum and Night at the Museum 2 at Empress Lawn from 7:30pm. If you’re looking to kick off your new year’s fitness resolutions early, join the mass countdown dance workouts at the HPB Fitness Countdown Party at Esplanade Park, or salsa your way into the new year at the Asian Civilisations Museum’s New Year’s Eve Dance Party!
