5 Little-Known Museums In Singapore So Worth A Visit

We'd bet you might not know some of these even existed!

Museums are a great place to learn new things. They're some of the top places to visit when you travel to a country for the first time. They can also show locals a fascinating side of their country they don't really know. We tend to have the impression of museums being old, serious, and maybe even boring. That may be true for some, but not all museums. Certainly not these five museums in Singapore. Buckle up for a learning journey that gets you geeking out over toys, antiques, and more!

Stepping into this museum is a rush of nostalgia for all ages. The MINT (Moment of Imagination and Nostalgia with Toys) Museum of Toys boasts over 50,000 pieces of vintage toys and collectibles from across the world, which is believed to be the largest collection in Southeast Asia. It truly puts Singapore on the map, as the world’s first and, so far, only museum that was purpose-built for toys. You’ve got childhood favourites like Astro Boy, Popeye, Batman, Star Wars, Punch & Judy, and Disney characters, alongside classic teddy bears and robot tin toys. The MINT Shop even sells a range of original and replica toys, to extend the nostalgic history to your home.
