5. Broadway thriller show “Deathtrap”
Don’t fancy being entirely immersed in the 4D horrors of Halloween? Here’s another way to be entertained. From 12-30 Oct, Asylum Theatre is bringing Tony Award-nominated Broadway thriller-comedy “Deathtrap” to Singapore.
Once-successful Broadway writer Sidney Bruhl is struggling to overcome a dry spell that has resulted in a shortage of income. His luck changes when he receives a promising thriller script from a student during a seminar. However, Bruhl’s kooky psychic neighbor Helga Ten Dorp and suspicious lawyer Porter Milgrim complicate matters.
Suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn with devilish cleverness, culminating in the play’s startling conclusion. “Deathtrap” is directed by award-winning playwright Dean Lundquist.
