Celebrate National Day in a unique way at these events happening this weekend
Maybe you couldn’t score those elusive tickets to the National Day Parade, or perhaps you’re just looking for a chill day out while celebrating how you adore Singapore.
Here are seven events happening in town this weekend that you can mark into your calendar.

1. We the Citizens Fest
When: 9 Aug
Zouk Singapore and Ismaya Live are coming together to commemorate Singapore’s 51st with We the Citizens Fest, a music festival featuring a power-packed music line-up of local talents and international headliners. Look out for “Uptown Funk” singer Mark Ronson, Hayden James, Sam Feldt, Ta-Ku and local crooner Charlie Lim.
Meanwhile, Phuture will transform into an intimate movie-screening space to showcase specially curated local movies by homegrown film talents.
Tickets to the Zouk main room cost $51, while entry to Velvet Underground – Dance and Phuture will be free of charge. This is a 16+ only event.
