Have a love affair with local food? Feast on these food festivals to come

With so many inventive and international cuisine options popping up around Singapore, sometimes we just want to gorge on a simple bowl or plate of traditional comfort food.
Look no further. It's the month of local food love, and here are five food festivals coming up that will shower you with good old Singapore savouries and sweets.

3. Design fair with Singapore-inspired products
Okay, so this is technically not a food fair, but it will pander to the foodie in you – you can now have your local food and eat it too. Singapasar is a giant design fair held from 29-31 Jul at National Design Centre where you can shop for all things Singaporean and quirky, from Singlish office decor to kueh cushions.
It’s not a real fair without food – so yes, you’ll be glad to know that there’ll be plenty of food options too, from truffles to ondeh-ondeh cupcakes.
