5. VIVANT Launches Food and Wine Live Experiences

VIVANT has launched its first chapter of Food and Wine Live Experiences. It focuses on the key pillars for matching sustainable cuvées with different flavours. The experience presents the six primary taste sensations—salty, sour, bitter, umami, fat and sweet— and combines them with emblematic styles of wines (sweet and dry whites, bold and light reds, etc.). VIVANT’s expert Wine Advisors guide participants through key learnings and misconceptions about cooking and pairing. Furthermore, during the 35-minute live session, participants get to taste wines from VIVANT partner producers in Bordeaux, Burgundy and the Loire.

Because effective learning comes through practice, this new format includes a list of do-it-yourself pairings for participants. Throughout the experience, participants’ sense and taste are awaken to some of the world’s best responsibly made wines. For example, wine such as Isabelle et Denis Pommier’s Petit Chablis Hautérivien 2018 and Château Haut-Bages Libéral’s Pauillac 2016.

The Essentials of Food & Wine Tasting Kit is available for purchase on vivant.eco at the price of S$119.
