8. National Museum of Singapore’s An Old New World
Its Bicentennial exhibition An Old New World: From the East Indies to the Founding of Singapore, 1600s–1819 will end on 29 March 2020 so if you haven’t checked the exhibition out, maybe you should do it this weekend.
An Old New World explores the 200 years leading up to the establishment of an entrepôt in Singapore in 1819, beginning with the bustling world of trade in the East Indies that attracted the Dutch and British East India Companies from the early 17th century.
From now till 22 March, visitors who answer three questions correctly at a Quiz Booth outside the exhibition gallery will also stand a chance to win exciting prizes at the museum’s Grand Draw this month.
