Are you a health junkie, a clean-eater or someone on a vegetarian diet? Or are you at least someone trying to be a convert but realize most of our eateries on this humble little island offer nothing but the usual, sinful feel-good nom noms?
Now, you have no more excuses as Foodology Fresh revamps their revitalised gourmet fresh food menu, featuring gourmet, low-glycemic and healthy lunches at everyday prices.
Three Cs: Cheap, convenient and clean-eating
Catering to Singapore’s burgeoning trend of healthy food and beverage concepts, various items of the menu fulfil five health categories; Vegetarian, sugar-free, lactose-free, gluten-free and No Trans-Fat. These mid-day meals are targeted to give customers the energy boost they need for a hard day’s work.
Conveniently nestled in The URA Centre whose surrounding offices include the ones in Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar, the 800-square-foot space offers a multisensory dining experience and boasts a self-serve concept which gives customers the freedom to choose their own meals.
Before you expect the meals to cost you your day’s salary, the revamped menu mains start from a mere $7 onwards with choices of Salads, Sandwiches and Wraps. By topping up $3, patrons can get either a slice of Quiche, one muffin or a bowl of soup.
Guilt-free indulgence
The Roasted Chicken, Grape and Apricot Salad ($8.50) would prove to be a refreshing start. Crunchy mesclun and arugula are accompanied by roasted chicken chunks, apricots, grapes and Spanish onions. A drizzle of white wine vinaigrette enlivens the salad mix.
I also enjoyed the Salmon and Avocado Wrap ($8.80) throughly. It somewhat reminds me of my Japanese Salmon and Avocado handrolls – but without the rice and carbs. This definitely was a healthier option, especially when I have to spend the next 5 hours sitting at my desk as a keyboard warrior. Who’d need the carbs?
The hint of saltiness of Smoked Salmon is complemented with the Avocados. Capers, Tomatoes, Onions, Iceberg Lettuce, Cream Cheese and Honey Dijon dressing also lend great flavours to the wrap.
If you still have space in your appetite to spare, go ahead and tackle Foodology Fresh’s scrumptious tarts ($5.80). From the sweet-and-sour Lemon Curd Tart, Marscapone Crème Brulee Tart to the innovative Summerberry Yoghurt Tart, you are bound to step out of Foodology Fresh feeling full and satisfied – but not guilty.
Every meal offered in Foodology Fresh is conveniently packaged to-go, catering perfectly to the busy working adults in Chinatown.
But are you still too cropped up with work to even get lunch? Forget McDelivery or any Pizza deliveries. Foodology Fresh also offers delivery service around the Chinatown area, allowing workers to enjoy their offerings in the comfort of their own offices.
