Carne & Caipirinha Brazilian Churrascaria: Waiter, my pasta is on fire!

Carne & Caipirinha introduces “The FireBomb”, flaming Carbonara Pasta tossed in a Parmesan Cheese Wheel

Nestled in the quaint neighbourhood of Sunset Way in Clementi, Carne & Caipirinha is an alfresco Brazilian churrascaria that serves a large variety of premium-quality meats directly imported from Brazil.

Cuts of chicken, beef, lamb, pork and fish are roasted over a charcoal fire and brought to your table piping hot on a long skewer. Passadors, or chefs-cum-meat servers, will then carve a perfectly grilled slice of meat onto your plate.

The first and only “FireBomb” Carbonara Pasta in Singapore

While the buffet of meat is the main draw at Carne & Caipirinha, diners can also enjoy free flow servings of freshly cooked Carbonara pasta tossed in a large Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese wheel as part of the buffet.

For an additional $10, the chef will pour in a flaming cocktail consisting a secret blend of three different types of alcohol to the pasta and cheese mixture. The flames will slightly char the pasta and melt the cheese while the alcohol adds a heady aroma that cuts the richness of the cream sauce.

Despite being stuffed with 2 plates of meat prior to being served the “FireBomb” Carbonara Pasta, I couldn’t stop myself from reaching for more. I would highly recommend ordering a portion if only to watch the brilliant fire show when the chef prepares your pasta.

Meat, meat and more meat

Beef Rump

The friendly Passadors will gladly slice as large a piece of the Beef Rump as you would like.

With 14 different types meat available, it can be a little difficult to find space in your stomach to try everything. My top picks would have to be Beef Rump and Hump. Both cuts are incredibly tender, with the Beef Hump being fattier and the Rump leaner.

Another trick to eating more is to introduce variation to your taste buds. The best way to do this is by having a bite of the sweet and juicy Grilled Pineapple once you get sick of the taste of meat. I could probably eat the whole Pineapple sans the meat and be perfectly satisfied as well.

When you’ve finally had your fill, simply flip over the small disc from green to red to signal that you’ve had enough. I guarantee that you’ll leave bursting at the seams.
