4. Macallan Edition No.4
The Edition Series— a range of whiskies that focus on The Macallan’s commitment to wood, the Edition No. 4 was aged in was aged in a combination of seven different cask types. These include: European/American Oak refill butts, European/American Oak refill hogsheads, American Oak first fill Vasyma hogsheads, European Oak first fill Diego Martin Rosado butts, European Oak first fill Jose Y Miguel Martin butts, European Oak first fill Tevasa butts/puncheons and European Oak first fill Tevasa hogsheads.
Edition No.4 embodies the craftsmanship and pioneering design of the new Macallan Distillery and demonstrates the mastery of whisky making on the estate since 1824. Bold aromas of honey with a sweet toffee apple notes, the taste of nutmeg with wood spices and green cloves open up immediately, leaving a sweet and vanilla aftertaste; finishing with long-lasting a fruity oakiness.
