Welcomes the roaring year of the Tiger with a selection of toothsome Chinese New Year goodies.
11. Da Paolo Gastronomia
From an exclusive Tiger Bread to irresistible house-made cookies and thoughtfully curated hampers, Da Paolo Gastronomia launches a selection of Chinese New Year goodies with an Italian festive touch.
A special edition for Da Paolo’s range of everyday bread, the Tiger Bread is a sourdough rendition of an Asian fluffy milk bread featuring a dual-colour combination of blonde and dark, brown-toned dough; laminated and layered to create a swirled pattern in the loaf and its distinctive ‘tiger stripes’ on top of the bread after scoring.
The loaf’s blonde dough is infused with the subtle flavours of mandarin orange, representing wealth and good luck amidst the Chinese New Year celebrations, as well as saffron, a precious spice used in Italian traditional cooking and for special festive occasions. Da Paolo’s Tiger Bread makes for a light, sweet breakfast bread eaten on its own or enjoyed with butter and orange marmalade.
Da Paolo’s resplendent Chinese New Year offerings can be purchased online for delivery and self-pickup, or in-store from 5 January till 3 February 2022 or while stocks last, whichever is earlier.
