Recipe: Grilled Squid with Garlic Chili Oil by Asian Food Channel

Craving calamari? Try out this tasty squid recipe, with garlic and chili for a zing!

Ingredients

Serves 4 people

  • 600 g large squid
    Gutted and cleaned
  • 3 cloves garlic
    Sliced
  • 2 chili padi (Bird’s eye chili)
    Sliced
  • 1 stalk spring onion
    Sliced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Step 3 – Fry ingredients

  • In the same pan, add ¼ cup olive oil. On medium heat, stir-fry potato coins until lightly browned.
  • Add chili padi, garlic, spring onion, reserving 1 tsp for garnish, and continue to fry for another 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Lay potato coins flat on the dish, place squid on top and drizzle with garlic chili oil.
