Each country in our Southeast Asian region may have its own version of the beef noodle soup, such as the Vietnamese pho. Each is unique and has its own character and flavours.
In Singapore, we have our very own beef ball noodles dish. Similar to fish balls, beef balls were originally brought by our forefathers from Southern China.
Still, today, not many know that it is a type of food that is unique to Southern China and overseas Chinese communities, especially in Southeast Asia.
While we may go for beef noodles from other cultures, let’s not forgot to support and cherish local. After all, Singaporean beef ball noodles is a great dish, whether the soupy or the dry version.

This stall is located in Golden Mile Food Centre, where a number of famous hawker stalls are located. If you prefer your gravy a little more runny, try their mixed beef kway teow soup with generous amounts of beef shin and, of course, beef balls.

This stall is also located in Golden Mile Food Centre. For this stall, you have to specifically request for beef balls if you want them instead of slices of beef.
