5. Mango Salad ($5), Royal Kitchen Thai Cuisine
We had a more satisfying fix of Thai grub at Royal Kitchen Thai Cuisine, tucked away in a corner of the hawker centre’s Fareground. With the stall’s snaking queue that indicates good food, we ordered the unassuming Mango Salad that surprises with a piquant profile of a sweet, tangy and spicy. The textures are consistently crunchy, with specks of peanuts added for a nutty sweetness.
