The madly successful culinary chain Old Chang Kee returns back to its roots by setting up a 50-seater eatery at the original location of the brand’s first store. Named the Old Chang Kee Coffeehouse, the outlet features familiar offerings from the affiliated brands of Curry Times, Bun Times, and Dip ‘n’ Go such as signature Curry’O puffs ($1.50), assorted buns stuffed with various sweet and savoury fillings ($1.70) and more substantial dishes of Dry Laksa Goreng ($8.50) and Bubur Cha Cha ($5.00). However, you’d best make a beeline for the Flower Bread (from $11.9), exclusive at the coffeehouse, where it features a choice of curry chicken chicken stew, or beef stew served in a bowl and encircled by freshly-baked, pull-apart buns. Best part? The gravy is free-flow!
