Previously held at Resorts World Sentosa, this year’s Michelin Guide Singapore will be revealed at The Fullerton Hotel on 29 June.

Also making a return is the Bib Gourmand selection, a category that awards outstanding eateries serving meals under $45.

The selection of Bib Gourmand establishments is set to be on the 22 June, a week’s shy from the main event.

Last year’s list saw 17 out of the 34 selected eateries hailing from hawker centres, namely Tiong Bahru Hainanese Chicken Rice in Tiong Bahru Market and Amoy Street Market’s J2 Crispy Curry Puff.

Like last year, the award ceremony-cum-gala dinner is open to the public, where guests can revel in the unfolding drama while enjoying a lavish five-course course meal prepared by Michelin-starred chefs from around the world.

However, earning a seat requires a $595 ticket, available for purchase here.

Chef Jason Tan of Corner House.

Paired with a selection of fine wines from Robert Parker Wine Advocate, the night’s feast will follow the theme ‘All Things Classic’, featuring culinary interpretations from guest chefs Curtis Duffy from three-Michelin-starred Grace in Chicago, and chef Tam Kwok Fung from two-Michelin-starred Jade Dragon in Macau.

Singapore’s own one-Michelin-starred chefs Seita Nakahara from Tokyo-Italian restaurant terra and Corner House’s Jason Tan will also join in the gastronomic action, while Chef Cheung Siu Kong of one-Michelin-starred Summer Pavilion will end things on a sweet note with his specialty desserts.

Worth mentioning is Chef Leong Chee Yeng of recently revamped Jade Restaurant, who will be whipping up pre-dinner canapes.

Chan Hong Meng of Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle.

The inaugural Michelin Guide Singapore 2016 presented stars to 29 eateries including two hawker stalls — Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle.
