This desserts joint presents new, inventive and delicious handmade desserts, fresh daily
Hee Kee Desserts was conceptualised by the team behind the bubble tea franchise, Sharetea. It has a menu of savoury mains as well as tong sui (“sugar water” in Cantonese) and other types of desserts that are inventive yet mindful of tradition.
In the spirit of honouring well-balanced flavours typified by Cantonese cuisine, Hee Kee Desserts has unveiled a selection of 80 desserts, all handmade by in-house chefs inspired by the notion that with continual experimentation and the will to break through the culinary mould, magnificent-tasting sweet treats that please picky Singaporean taste buds is highly possible.
Must-try Desserts
Recently, Hee Kee has tweaked its menu. The current top must-trys are Bird’s Nest in Coconut Milk (from $9.80), Mango with Pomelo ($4.50), Mango Cheong Fun ($3.30 per piece), D24 Durian Sauce with Sago ($5.80), Traditional Steamed Milk Pudding ($3.50) and Durian Pancake (from $3.30).
The Mango Cheong Fun is a delightful steamed treat in an envelope of sweet-coconut infused skin. The filling of a generous chunk of mango is juicy and tasty in each bite, that will make you hanker for more than one helping.
The D24 Durian Sauce with Sago is made to satiate the year-round craving of fans of the “King of Fruits” and is an interesting twist to the usual sago desserts. Smooth and creamy durian sauce topped with fresh durian flesh and with a generous serving of sago make a satisfying treat.
