Asian cuisine is given a fresh update in this new restaurant and tapas bar

Nestled in the newly-revamped Suntec City is a chic and sexy lounge that almost passes off for a mere bar.
But, step into the corridor lined with stone statues holding candles and you’ll reach the fine dining area of LÈ Restaurant and Asian Tapas Bar.
The cavernous space encompasses a lounge and a 212-seater dining area with several private dining rooms.
Chic Cuisine
Apart from Asian-inspired cocktails such as the Fiery Empress – a feisty cocktail with lemon juice, egg white, tequila, chilli padi and curry leaves – their tapas selection does not disappoint.
We loved the Braised Cherry Foie Gras with Red Wine ($26). The foie gras terrine is poached in red wine and cherry jus and plated to represent cherry globules. We also liked the Mantou Burger with Braised USDA Prime Beef ($16), their version of kong bak bao.
More Surprises
LÈ Restaurant Asian Tapas Bar also carries pristine seafood such as the Alaskan Crab ($10, with a minimum of two orders) – a refreshing mix of crab meat, grapefruit cubes, cherry tomatoes and sesame dressing – and a Coral Trout Poached in Lobster Broth ($16 per 100g and $28 for the broth).
The trout is prepared at table-side and you’ll see the intricacies that go into preparing this comforting dish.
The Dirty Duck Pancake ($38 for half, $68 for whole) is their take on the Peking Duck. The duck has been stewed in a blend of spices and flash-fried until it is crispy.
Beef lovers can enjoy Pan-Seared Grade 9 Australian Wagyu ($160-$240 for 200/300g) with truffle oil and lemon zest sea salt.
