Apart from getting a taste of great Japanese food from the Ueno region, including the famous gyozas, you can have your hot towels served to you by the friendly monkeys who belong to the tavern!
Rest assured, these monkeys are treated very well by their owners and the restaurant has been cleared by Japanese Animal Welfare, who ensures that the monkeys only ‘work’ for a couple of hours a night.
