It’s so surprise to see that weekends have become synonymous with brunch gatherings.

After all, lazy mornings and slow-paced, hearty meals are the perfect recipe for flowing conversations.

But if your cafe hopping adventures have become a little stale of late, Mr Punch Public House will be a refreshing change.

Big appetites can tuck into the Punch’s Breakfast.

Retro wonderland

Unlike the usual brunch spots decked out in the same minimalist, Kinfolk-wannabe aesthetic, Mr Punch is a retro wonderland of vintage enamel and tin signs that hail from various parts of the world.

Located in the basement of MINT Museum of Toys, the quirky gastropub makes a great pit stop where you can satiate your hunger and tour an extensive collection of old-school toys.

Their newly-launched brunch menu, available only on weekends, features just five scrumptious items.

What they lack in variety, is more than made up for by the interesting dishes.

The Devil’s French toast is as sinful as its name suggests.

Sinful & sweet

Big appetites can tuck into the Punch’s Breakfast ($20), a full-fledged English breakfast platter of crispy bacon, sunny side up, wild mushrooms, English pork sausage and toasted brioche.

For something lighter to leave you with space for dessert, go for Judy’s Plate ($18). The homemade granola bowl comes with vanilla yoghurt, fresh fruits and danish on the side.

The Devil’s French toast ($14) is as sinful as its name suggests, combining thick slices of brioche coated with Nutella, peanut butter and a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

To celebrate the launch of their brunch menu, guests get to enjoy a free admission ticket to MINT Museum of Toys with every brunch item ordered — simply make a reservation at reservations@mrpunch.com
