Free quality wine all day, every day? This is what dreams are made of

In the region of Abruzzo, east of Rome, Italy, a fountain flowing with red wine has been opened. Installed by local vineyard Dora Sarchese Vini, the fontana del vino (wine fountain) is free for any passerby to drink from – as much as they want.
It can be found along the Cammino di San Tommaso, a pilgrimage route between Rome and Ortona. Dora Sarchese Vini was reportedly inspired by a similar fountain along Spain’s Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route, and decided to collaborate with the same non-profit group that maintains the Cammino di San Tommaso.
This is the first 24/7 wine ‘fountain’ in Italy. The vineyard also organises wine-pressing events for the public, where visitors can participate in manual pressing and decanting of wines, followed by a wine feast.
