Sand is definitely one of the first few things that come to mind when thinking about a beach. However, Panjin Red Beach, located in the province of Liaoning, China, will surprise you.
In autumn, the seepweed that grows along the shores of this wetland takes on a crimson hue, transforming the landscape into a sea of red as far as the eye can see.
This is the largest and best-preserved wetland in the world and it’s also home to more than 260 species of birds and 399 species of animals.
