Franky is going on holiday soon, and he’s leaving me in good hands!
Hi, people! I’m Fluffy. Franky, my owner, will soon be jetting off for a vacation while I stay behind.
But I’m not worried; I know I’ll get a great place to stay while he’s on holiday. Here are some options Franky and I considered.
Staying with Family & Friends
We are most comfortable with family members or friends whom we have seen before. Franky said he would have greater peace of mind if I stay with someone we know. And I totally agree!
Franky’s uncle is a great person but he has a baby in the house. So that may be an issue for them.
Franky’s auntie is quiet and shy. We visited her at home many times. However, she keeps two birds and they may not be used to other animals being around for long periods.
As much as this is the best option for us, it seems like this time around our relatives are not able to have me.
Franky thus went about exploring other options.
Pet Boarding Places
Pet boarding places are the most expensive option but they are also one of the most convenient. Franky says that to qualify for boarding places I need to be up-to-date with my vaccinations, so that’s not a problem.
To make sure the place will be to my liking, he will arrange for a tour of the facility. It’s like researching for a pet hotel!
Hiring a Pet-Sitter
Besides putting me up at a pet boarding place, Franky is also considering calling in a pet-sitter.
What does this mean? It means that I get to stay home even though Franky is on holiday, and the pet-sitter comes over to spend time with me!
The cost for this ranges so it’s best to ask friends who’ve used the service before, for recommendations.
Jason, our neighbour who used to play with us in the park, is a professional pet-sitter!
Jason knows how to handle dogs and he lives nearby – there is the added safety of a familiar environment. Franky thinks Jason is ideal.
Tonight, Franky will reveal his decision to me after he treats me to some snacks for being so obedient! Which option do you think he will choose?
